Respontour is a network of experienced journalists and media representatives fully dedicated to responsible tourism.

Its independent authors use a network of high-quality publishing houses to have their travel accounts printed in trade and consumer publications, online-media and newspapers. Their stories tell about travel experiences that convinced them 100%, of stays they enjoyed and of journeys and tours they found unique and recommendable.

With the German language consumer website EinfachGuteReisen and extensive contacts to opinion leaders and multipliers in media and travel respontour serves as a focal point when it comes to find out what is going on in the world of responsible tourism.

On demand – and independent of the journalistic work described above - respontour also offers support and consulting for local tourism initiatives, community based tourism projects and tour operators specialized in sustainable or eco tourism who want to raise their profile amongst German speakers. These services are subject to a fee and include editorial copywriting, communications advice, creative ideas generation and media sell in.

Respontour organises networking events, trainings and workshops and offers a wide range of PR services geared to raise awareness in the important source markets Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Respontour will translate brochures and websites into German, supply press releases to the key editorial offices and place responsible tourism stories on the most important web channels and in relevant magazines and newspapers.

Respontour will help define suitable target groups, seek out the perfect participants for a press trip or familiarisation tour, connect suppliers to hand picked business partners and offer support at seminars, road shows, exhibitions and conferences.

In any case Respontour network members only write about and work with projects and partners who totally persuaded them of their deep roots in CSR, social, economic and ecological principals. The ultimate aim is to draw the interest of the German speaking audience to a way of traveling whereby they will not come back loaded with colourful souvenirs but rather with memories of eye-level encounters and heart-warming stories of the people and places they visited.

Respontour was founded in 2009 by Susanna Hagen and Marcus Bauer as the first media network in the German speaking areas with an exclusive focus on sustainable tourism. It is aimed to spread the word about interesting projects worldwide at the interface of tourism, social and environmental issues.

Susanna Hagen - RespontourSusanna Hagen has 25 years of experience in tourism and has been focussing on travel journalism and photography for more than 15 years. The native Viennese lived and worked in Africa and Asia and has long-time knowledge and a deep interest in the field of responsible tourism.
